Prague, Oklahoma, grew out of the 1891 land opening tied to the Sac and Fox lands and quickly became a town with a strong Czech signature. Its story runs from the land run and early platting to institutions that kept memory visible: St. Wenceslaus parish, the National Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, the Bohemian Hall, Czech-language newspapers, and today’s Kolache Festival.
