We may update this document from time to time. The version published on this page is the version currently in effect unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Czechs Online is intended to be a constructive space for the Czech community worldwide, descendants, learners and interested readers. This policy explains what conduct is prohibited, how reports are handled, and how moderation may be enforced.

1. Prohibited conduct

  • harassment, intimidation or threats
  • hate speech or violent extremism
  • doxxing or unlawful disclosure of personal data
  • scams, fraud, phishing or deceptive conduct
  • malware, harmful code or technical abuse
  • unlawful activity or coordination of unlawful acts
  • impersonation or misleading identity claims
  • spam, manipulation or repeated disruptive posting

2. Protection of minors

We apply additional safety measures for users aged 16 and 17 where appropriate. In practical terms, they can keep using their account, post content, and use reporting/blocking controls, but the community profile stays private by default, direct-contact fields such as phone and website are hidden, map visibility is disabled by default, discoverability is limited to existing contacts, and new private conversations are restricted to existing contacts only.

Any attempt to exploit, groom, manipulate, harass, or inappropriately contact a minor is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension or termination and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities. Users are encouraged to use our reporting and blocking tools if they encounter unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.

Any content involving child sexual exploitation, abuse material, grooming behaviour or trafficking-related exploitation is strictly prohibited and may be escalated to competent authorities where required.

3. Integrity and authenticity

Users must not intentionally mislead others in ways that create concrete risks of harm, financial deception, identity abuse or platform manipulation.

Czechs Online may itself publish or schedule certain AI-assisted or AI-generated discussion starters, replies or thematic prompts in order to keep the forum active and populate it with potentially useful or interesting subjects. Content published by or on behalf of the platform in this way should not be assumed to reflect independent human user participation merely because it appears in community areas.

4. Reporting

Users can report problematic content by email at email.

Users can report abuse and safety matters by email at email.

5. Enforcement actions

  • warning
  • content removal
  • reduced visibility
  • temporary feature restriction
  • temporary suspension
  • permanent account termination
  • preservation of evidence for legal or safety reasons

6. Appeals

Users may appeal moderation outcomes through the designated support channel. Some urgent safety actions may remain effective during review. Where law enforcement cooperation or acute risk exists, immediate action may be non-reversible.

7. Repeat-offender handling

Repeated or severe violations may lead to permanent restrictions across relevant platform features.

8. Cooperation with authorities

We may preserve or disclose relevant records where required by law or where necessary to respond to serious safety threats, fraud, abuse or legal process.

9. Contact

Users can report abuse and safety matters by email at email.
